Merrick’s double-double at Asbury leads to second-straight NCCAA honor

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Making it a full trio of Campbellsville University women's volleyball weekly honors, CU's Paige Merrick earned her second-straight NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week honor Monday afternoon.

Merrick recorded a double-double in just two sets played as she finished the match at Asbury last Saturday with 17 assists and 10 digs. She also added four service aces in the match before giving way to backup setter MacKenzie Poteet later in the match.

With her NCCAA honor, she joins teammates Sutton Mason and Katie Morin in receiving honors this week as that pair earned Mid-South Conference Player of the Week recognitions earlier on Monday.

The Lady Tigers will remain on the road for their next three matches but won't get back to action until next Monday when they face Georgetown College on Feb. 15.
