BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Finishing the regular season 11-7 overall and 6-4 inside of the Mid-South Conference, the Campbellsville University men's tennis team as received the No. 5 seed in the MSC Tournament, scheduled to begin this Friday.
 
The Tigers finished the regular season on a three-match winning streak in duals play as they earned 7-0 wins over Georgetown and Freed-Hardeman with a 6-1 win over Bethel.
 
CU's quarterfinal matchup in the 4/5 dual will be against Martin Methodist College, who earned a win over the Tigers by a tight 4-3 score back on Apr. 2 in Campbellsville.
 
The rest of the top three seeds includes No. 1 Lindsey Wilson, No. 2 Cumberlands and No. 3 Cumberland as those three as well as MMC and CU will head straight to the quarterfinals of the tournament. Seeds No. 6-11 will all play in opening round duals as those matchups are listed below.
 

• No. 6 Thomas More vs. No. 11 Shawnee State
  • Winner plays No. 3 Cumberland
• No. 7 Pikeville vs. No. 10 Georgetown
  • Winner plays No. 2 Cumberlands
• No. 8 Freed-Hardeman vs. No. 9 Bethel
  • Winner plays No. 1 Lindsey Wilson

 
The Tigers will hope to make a tournament run as a championship will clinch an automatic bid into the NAIA Championship Tournament.
