Tigers finish regular season with sweep over Bluefield College on Senior Day

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The regular season finale ended with a Campbellsville University men's volleyball sweep over Bluefield College on Senior Day. 
 
The Tigers dominated the match with 42 kills and 14 aces to win on Saturday afternoon -- 25-23, 25-17, 25-21. 
 
Campbellsville ends the regular season with a 23-3 record and 13-1 inside the Mid-South Conference standings. The Tigers will earn the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament next weekend. 
 
Today, it was senior Max Stotridge with a season-high 11 kills leading the way for Campbellsville. Senior Rafael Cruz finished with 10 kills and three aces. 
 
In the first set, Bluefield was right there tied at 21-all after a Cruz attacking error but he got it back with a kill pushing the lead, 22-21. Jeremy Hernandez delivered his lone service ace to push the lead to 23-21 and the Tigers ended up taking the opening set, 25-23. 
 
The second set was all CU as the Tigers took control winning six of the last nine rallies, 25-17. 
 
The third set was much of the same with a late rally by Campbellsville. Tied at 18, Campbellsville won seven of the final 10 points to win, 25-21. 
 
The Mid-South Conference will be played Thursday-Saturday, April 8-10 in Bowling Green. The Tigers will earn a first round bye into the quarterfinals on Friday. MSC officials will released the bracket early in the week.
