Lady Tigers win opening set but fall in MSC regular season finale to Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Lady Tiger volleyball won set one over Lindsey Wilson but the Blue Raiders rallied afterwards to earn a 3-1 victory closing out the regular season. 
 
Campbellsville (17-8, 10-6 MSC) manufactured a .386 hitting percentage with a season set-high 20 kills to lead 1-0 in the match but CU combined for only 33 kills in the next three sets to fall. 
 
Campbellsville was led by Sophie Ball's 15 kills and .237 hitting percentage, while Sutton Mason finished with 11, Taylor Weirich had nine along with Sonia Flendrich. 
 
Lindsey Wilson (18-3, 14-2 MSC) - which is only receiving votes in the latest NAIA Poll - closed the regular season with only two conference blemishes – a five-set loss to Georgetown on Thursday night and a 3-0 sweep to Martin Methodist back on March 12. The Blue Raiders earn the MSC's top seed heading into the conference tournament next weekend. 
 
The Lady Tigers are slated to earn the four-seed and will earn a first round bye along with Lindsey Wilson in the MSC Championship Tournament. The tournament begins on Thursday with the opening rounds and both LWC and CU will play Friday. The bracket will be released this weekend by the conference.
