Drew Sims joins the Tiger volleyball front row as grad transfer for 2021-22

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The building process continues for the Campbellsville University men's volleyball team as the Tigers announce the signing of graduate transfer Drew Sims for the 2021-22 academic year.
 
Sims, a 6-4 versatile front row player, has experience as a middle, outside, and opposite over his career as he most recently played for Lees-McCrae College at the NCAA Division II level prior to coming to CU.
 
His career stats for the Bobcats, according to lmcbobcats.com, include 293 kills, 121 digs, and was in on 80 blocks in 37 total matches played and 120 sets. Prior to his college career, Sims attended West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch, Calif. where he totaled 380 kills, 159 blocks and 47 aces in his career while achieving the school record for blocks in a match with 12 and for career hitting percentage at .483.
 
With the addition of Sims, this continues the retooling process for the Tigers following the graduation of six players from the National Championship qualifying 2021 roster.
 
Sims joins the 2021 class of Bas van Houten, Caden Carrasco, Kendall Walter, Andrew Steinmetz, John-Marcos Gonzalez, Antonio Cintron, Erik Malek, Niklas Held, and Moritz Frauendorf.
