GREENVILLE, S.C. – As the 2021 outdoor track and field season winds down entering the month of May, Campbellsville University men's track and women's field athletes

Haley Payton earned NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
Both honors came as a result of their performances at the Mid-South Conference Championships where both individuals put up qualifying times/distances for the NCCAA Championships.
Payton's honor came in the field category on the women's side as she finished the long jump and triple jump with top-five distances in the conference. Her triple jump distance of 11.67, her personal best, on her last jump to hit both NAIA B Standard and have top jump among NCCAA qualifiers while putting up a 5.25 long jump for a fourth place finish at the meet.
Little broke a Campbellsville school record in the 10,000 meter run with his 32:11.16 second place finish to post the top time among NCCAA qualifiers. His 5,000 meter time also finished in second place at the meet while holding the sixth spot among NCCAA qualifiers.
Both Payton and Little have qualified for the NCCAA Championships in Greenville, Ill. on May 12-14 as they will look to bring home some individual national titles back to Campbellsville.
