Lady Tigers finish fourth at Colonel Classic

DANVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Tigers returned to action at Centre College Saturday January 8th to compete in the Colonel Classic. Campbellsville struggled in their return as they placed fourth behind Indiana Wesleyan University, Centre College and Asbury University.

Campbellsville placed fourth in the first event just two seconds behind first place Indiana Wesleyan. In that event, swimmers Hannah Doyle, Sarah Wortham, Laya Young, and Lizandri Crewe-Brown placed a time of 1:47.79 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Lady Tigers only had two individual top-five finishes at the Classic with Crewe-Brown and Young taking those honors. Crewe-Brown placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.96, just .2 seconds from fourth place. Young finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.68, just .4 seconds from second and third.

Campbellsville will return to the pool on Saturday January 22, as they will travel to Columbia, Kentucky to take on Lindsey Wilson.
