Tigers place top 20 in Cincinnati as the regular season begins to wind down

The Tigers competed this past weekend at the Mid-South Conference Cincinnati Collegiate Classic in Cincinnati, Ohio as their final tournament before the Conference Championship in two weeks. The teams bowled on a 38-foot pattern with varying volume of oil and different modifications for the men and women. The event was nine team games overall, five being on Saturday and four on Sunday.

Tigers place 18th out of 22 teams competing this past weekend. They shot a total of 7,938 for the nine games and were five pins away from 13th. The sophomore Ambrose Shirk shined for the Tigers this weekend shooting 1,781 (-19) and averaging 197.8 for the nine games. 
 
He finished the tournament 12th in the field out of 236 bowlers (varsity and junior varsity). Following behind him was Blake Roberts placing 93rd with a total of 1,416 (-184) and an average of 177 for the eight games he bowled in.
 
The Tigers look to have two weeks off before competing in the Mid-South Conference Championship February 10th through 12th.
