Campbellsville comes in at #1 in the NAIA Top 20 Preseason Polls

KANSAS CITY, MO – Campbellsville is top of the table in the NAIA Top 20 Preseason Poll.
 
The Tigers have won consecutive NAIA National Championships in 2021 and 2022. The team was able to soundly beat the competition in 2022 with a score of 189 while second place came in with 158.5 points being Southern Oregon University.
 
Kenya Sloan is the returning NAIA Champion at 155 lbs. and is ranked first in the weight class heading into the 2022-23 season. Campbellsville has a number of wrestlers ranked in the preseason standings:

The Mid-South Conference has five schools ranked in the top 20. Behind Campbellsville at 1st, University of the Cumberlands is 5th, Life University comes in at 7th, Indiana Tech is 9th, and Brewton Parker lands at 13th.
 
Campbellsville will begin the season on the road when they travel to Marshall, MO for the Missouri Valley Open on November 18-19. Their first home match is Friday February 3rd when St. Andrews and University of the Cumberlands come to town.
