SEWANEE, Tenn. – Campbellsville was able to conclude the 2022 portion of the schedule on a high note with a runner-up finish at the Igloo Invitational over the weekend finishing with 625 team points.

Taryn Harper, and
Charlotte Stull got the meet started off with a runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The group was able to swim the event in 1:45.76. Starting in the individual events
Chloe Little was the first top three finish for Campbellsville with her third-place finish in the 200-yard IM. Little touched the wall in 2:25.05.
Stull was in a photo finish at the touch of the wall in the 500-yard freestyle. Stull was beaten by .01 seconds in the event. Stull touched the wall in 5:28.76 while Sewanee's Aurelia Willett won with a time of 5:28.75. Little was the first Tiger to earn a win on the weekend for the team. Little won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.61.
Maggie Gibson followed Little's lead earning her first win of the meet. Gibson won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:20.81 and beating out Sewanee's Maddy DuBois who was second in 2:20.95.
In the 400-yard medley relay the Tigers placed second overall with
Hannah Rhodenbaugh, Little, Wortham, and Stull on the relay with a time of 4:15.17. They were just 1.41 seconds behind Sewanee's winning relay team. Staying with the relay's, Campbellsville saw another runner-up in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a finishing time of 8:29.36. Rhodenbaugh, Harper, Stull, and Eisses were on the relay.
Campbellsville narrowly missed a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Eisses, Little, Gibson, and Stull were only 2.37 seconds behind Sewanee with a time of 1:56.84. Stull earned the bronze medal in the 400-yard IM with her time of 4:56.78.
Harper joined Stull on the bronze medal podium spot her third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. Harper touched the wall in 2:09.97. Little helped Campbellsville move up the leaderboard with a runner-up finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. She kept a 5.34 second spread across her splits to finish in 2:39.20.
Gibson earned her way to a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with her time of 1:02.24. Stull found the podium once again in the 1650-yard freestyle earning the bronze in the event in 19:13.72 with a 3.26 second split spread.
Finishing out the meet Campbellsville saw one final top three finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Harper, Wortham, Stull, and Eisses were able to swim the event in 3:54.40 and beating out Bethel who placed third in 3:55.88.
"I am super proud of my whole group, we went into this meet eyeing first place on the men's side and aiming for second on the women's side, and we did it" said head coach
Casey Bradstreet. "We achieved many season, career bests, and some team records and national provisional cuts. I am so proud of their efforts, and their results. They continually kept their eyes on our goals and worked together so well as a team, utilizing our team objectives, and honoring our values."
The Tigers will now have the remainder of the 2022 season off before returning to the pool on Friday January 6
th when the team travels to Centre College for the Centre Invitational.
