LEBANON, Tenn. — The (RV) Campbellsville University men's volleyball competed in a Mid-South Conference Pod hosted by Cumberland University Friday, February 11th. The Tigers won 3-1 to (RV) Warner University and 3-1 to St. Andrews University.

Game One: Campbellsville 3, Warner 1

In game one, the Tigers displayed high intensity in set one as they established a hefty deficit on the Royals. Campbellsville climbed to a ten-point lead as the score stood at 22-12. Campbellsville suffered from errors but beat out Warner 25-14.

The Tigers began set two by trailing the Royals. Campbellsville hadn't taken the lead until 9-8 due to a Warner attack error. Andres Laboy was at the serving line when his ace solidified a three-point lead (17-14) above the Royals. The Royals jumped ahead of the Tigers, but a major double block from Korreck and John Marcos Gonzalez evened the score at 24. Campbellsville errors allowed Warner the win 26-24.

Set three started with Sims' kill awarding the Tigers the first point. After a tie score (3-3), Campbellsville climbed to a three-point advantage at 7-4 and then earned their largest lead at 11-7. In response, Warner clawed at the score to position themselves at a one-point deficit. Niklas Held's two kills to the deep corner set the Tigers two points away from the win. Solid attacks from Bastiaan Van Houten and Kolk solidified the win 25-22.

Warner racked up a 3-0 run before the Tigers capitalized from a service error. Kolk and Sim's double-block evened the score at 6. Campbellsville initiated a six-point circuit before being interrupted by a Royal's kill. After trading points, kills from Kolk and Korreck along with an ace boosted the Tigers 22-14 over Warner. The Royal's service error finalized Campbellsville's 3-1 win.

Kolk and Held finished the morning contest with 11 kills apiece and Korreck collected ten kills. Ryan Smith tallied 33 assists out of the team's total of 40.

Game Two: Campbellsville 4, St. Andrews 1

Set one began with Campbellsville trailing 4-1. Korreck broke the Knight's streak with a kill and St. Andrew's errors put the Tigers ahead. Both teams traded the tie, but Korreck's slam and subsequent ace made the Tigers lead by one. The teams continued to even out each other's scores up until 24-22 with match point belonging to Campbellsville. Ryan Smith confirmed set one with his kill assisted by Laboy.

Campbellsville quickly capitalized from the Knights' mistakes to set them three ahead. The Tigers pushed to a five-point lead and kept the Knights at that deficit for a large portion of the set. Set three began with the Tigers earning six of their first seven points from errors made by St. Andrews. After being up by six, the Knights cut down on the Tiger's lead. Campbellsville suffered from their own errors allowing the Knights to even the score at 15. Swinging hard, Held collected three kills that boosted the Tigers 21-20. St. Andrews mustered together major attacks to take set three.
