Campbellsville wins their fourth Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon

BOWLING GREEN, KY – When it comes to postseason, Lee Miracle's team is not shy of the spotlight. Campbellsville won their fourth Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon.
 
Lady Tigers made light work of the field winning with 142.5 points. Life University who won the regular season couldn't keep up the pace with Campbellsville with the Lady Tigers earning key bonus points in matchups with multiple pins in their matches. Life finished being 20 points behind at 122.5 points. 
 
Campbellsville saw four different individual champions on the day. Kenya Sloan who hasn't seen the mat in two years due to injury won the 155lb. weight class. She won by fall over Brewton Parkers India Page. Sloan never had a match go into the second period.
 
Emma Walker won the 143lb. weight class title Sunday afternoon. Only one of her matches on the day went over one minute in the first period before she'd win the match. She won the conference title over Indiana Tech's Samantha Snow. 
 
Randi Robison made light work of her 136lb. weight class. Robison won by fall over Univesity of the Cumberlands Aliyah Yates at the 2:55 mark in the first period. Leilah Castro was the final Lady Tigers who walked away with a conference title under their belt. Castro earning the team 18.5 points over the course of the day. In her championship matchup, she saw her teammate Jacqueline Ghent in which they both were able to earn big points for the team. 
 
Ghent however cruised her way to the championship matchup against Castro. Ghent earned two falls and one tech fall in the early matches to reach the championship matchup. McKayla Campbell was one who pinned her first two opponents to reach her way to the conference title bout. Campbell would go on to finish runner-up in the 116lb. weight class on the afternoon to Life University's Salyna Shotwell.
 
Mia Diaz was the next Campbellsville athlete to earn their way to the conference title matchup. Diaz won a key matchup to reach the title bout in the semi-final match winning in the final two seconds with a four point move to win 7-4. Diaz ended up placing second in the 101lb. class to Katalina Bartelt of Life University. 
 
Katlyn Pizzo and Liliana Vergara both earned runner-up in the championships. Pizzo in the 130lb. weight class won her semi-final matchup over Charmayne Delong. Pizzo saw Life University's Julia Vidallon in the championship and fell by a 10-0 tech fall. Vergara earned a bye in her opening round and won the semi-final matchup by pinning Gabrielle Hamilton in 28 seconds. 
 
Brelane Huber won the bronze medal matchup. She defeated Angie Prado by decision 3-3 in the match. Huber was able to go 4-1 on the day. The only matchup she fell two was the top seeded Samantha Snow in her semi-final matchup. 
 
Gabrielle Medeiros earned fourth place for the Lady Tigers on the day. Medeiros won two matches on the day over Sydney Kutzke and Gabrielle Garcia. Kelsey Bilz, Leilani Martinez, and Kendra Thompson also earned their way to a fourth place finish on the day. 

Lee Miracle was named Mid-South Conference Co-Coach of the Year joining Life University's coach.
 
Campbellsville will now have three weeks to prepare for the NAIA National Championships which return to Jamestown, North Dakota this year.
