The Campbellsville University Esports Team started spring competition last week. The Tigers had their Apex and Smash squads in action.
The Apex trio would debut in their first tournament of the year. Playing for Campbellsville was Aaron Burns, Takeo, and Jaldin Gamoa. Aaron was playing Bloodhound, Takeo was playing Gibraltar, and Jaldin Gamboa selected Valkyrie. The three would be playing in Division 2 with 9 other teams. This tournament was made up of 5 divisions in total with 10 teams in each division. CU finished 2nd in their division and 3rd out of 50 teams. The trios two best games had 29 knocks as a team. In the 11 games played, Burns knocked 28 opponents, Takeo downed 12 competitors, and Jalidin Gamboa had 12 knocks.
The Smash team was up next on the docket. The Smash Academy team participated in the NACE Cup. They would matchup with University of Tennessee Knoxville. Playing for CU was Brady playing wolf, Roberts playing Young Link, Araujo Seanz playing ROB, and Kehm playing King K Rool. Campbellsville would come up short in the contest.
