BOWLING GREEN, KY – Tiger and Lady Tiger Bowling were able to collect four student athletes earning All-Conference honors for the season.
On the men's side,
Ambrose Shirk was selected for second team all-conference. Shirk has been a key factor for the Tigers throughout the course of the season. The latest outing for the Tigers in Cincinnati Shirk was shooting 1,781 (-19) and averaging 197.8 for the nine games of play.
Lady Tigers were led by
Shelbi Morris earning first team all-conference honors.
Rachel Langford and
Morgan Stone made it to second team all-conference.
Morris has been one of the key leaders for the Lady Tigers all season. In Cincinnati, Morris was the highest bowler on the team averaging 182.3 and shooting 1,641 (-159) for nine games and placing 13
th overall for the tournament.
Stone has been consistent all season long being the teams one-two man in the lineup when it comes to placing. Stones most recent outing she shot 1,380 (-420) and averaging 172.5.
Langford was the final athlete selected for all-conference honors. She made the all-tournament team during her last appearance in Cincinnati with the team averaging a 176.8.
The Mid-South Conference Championships begins Thursday February 10
th with singles play. Team play with begin Friday morning at 8 a.m. CST.
Lady Tigers come into the championships as the three seed and get an opening round bye. They will face the winner of Tennessee Wesleyan and Thomas More and face off at 9 a.m. CST.
The Tigers will face Shawnee State in the opening round as the eight seed at 8 a.m. CST Friday.
