JAMESTOWN, ND – Lady Tigers won in dominant fashion to win back to back titles and become the 2022 NAIA National Champions.
Kenya Sloan led the team by becoming the teams loan individual national champion. Sloan was in a back and forth match the whole time before she put herself in position for a wraparound takedown that led to a pin.
Leilah Castro was the national runner-up in the 123 lbs. weight class after falling in the championship bout for an 11-0 tech fall.
Emma Walker was the other national runner-up for the Lady Tigers. Walker went the full two rounds with Oklahoma City's Destiny Lyng and fell in a 5-5 decision in which Lyng won in criteria.
Coach
Lee Miracle became the NAIA Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. The team won the overall title with 189 points.
The closest team was Southern Oregon with 158.5 points. Menlo College was third at 157 points, and Life University who was ranked number one preseason finished fourth overall with 155.5 team points.
Campbellsville finished with eight All-Americans total.
