Throughout the first set the Tigers and Eagles found themselves in a back-and-forth matchup. Campbellsville would take full control of the set after being as close as 9-6 at one point and won the set 25-14.
Drew Sims and
Ho Yin Leung led the way for the Tigers in the first set, Sims had six kills while Leung had five total.
Jason Camacho collected 11 of his 15 assists from the duo.
Early in set two, the Tigers held a narrow 7-4 lead. From there, it jumped out to an 11-7 lead for Campbellsville. The Tigers went on a big run to finish off and lead the match 2-0 winning the second set 25-11.
Jakob Zum Kolk and
Eric Heller began to join Leung and Sims in the kill numbers. Zum Kolk and Heller had four kills after two sets.
Bastian Korreck collected three blocks through two sets and one solo block.
In the third set Campbellsville jumped out to an early 12-7 lead. Tigers kept their foots on the gas pedals the entire set and won the set and match with a score of 25-17.
Campbellsville will jump back on the court Tuesday March 22 for a 7 p.m. first serve against Georgetown College in Gosser Gymnasium.
