CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Tigers went on the road against the Saints of Thomas More University in a Mid-South Conference matchup on Friday afternoon. The Tiger came into the game after a tough loss to UT Southern just under a week ago. The Tigers did not end up with the result they were looking for in this match either as they fell short 3-4 after a big late-match push by the Saints. 

The first half was a quick start for both teams as Thomas More were first to score netting their goal by skipping it past the goalkeeper Christian Hauge in the 13th minute. The Tigers responded quickly when Sebastiano Musu was set up for a penalty kick which he made the most of. Shortly after Campbellsville's goal, Samuel Londono took a beautiful shot outside of the box netting his first goal and pushing the Tigers into the lead. Three minutes following that, in the 19th minute, Musu slid one right past the Saints' defense and nailed his second goal of the day. The rest of the half was pretty quiet, but the Saints were able to sneak another goal in before the end of the half in the 43rd minute. 

The second half showed contemplative play until about the 70th minute when the Saints sank another goal to tie things up. The Saints and Tigers continued to battle it out like two heavyweights for the next 16 minutes with neither team giving an inch. The drought finally broke when the Saints were able to penetrate the tough Tiger defense and hit the go-ahead goal. The Tigers had a chance to tie the game back up in the 88th minute on a well-placed header from Liam Harris but the shot landed right of the goal. 

The Tigers will look to get back in the win column in their next match against conference rival Georgetown College on October 5th. Campbellsville will be hosting and coverage will begin at 7:45 pm ET.
