Lady Tigers lose dual to #3 Life, 26-14

AUSTIN, Texas – The #4 Cambpellsville wrestling team competed against Mid-South Conference rival #3 Life Friday afternoon. Life took the head-to-head win, 26-14.
 
The dual was part of the D1 Elite Series hosted by FloWrestling and, as per usual, the mat was competitive in each match between the Lady Tigers and the Running Eagles. 13 individually ranked wrestlers battled.
 
For Campbellsville, Shea Reisel, # 4 Angie Vitiritti, and #5 Liliana Vergara won. Reisel took a 7-4 decision, Vitiritti defeated #3 Zaynah McBryde via decision (7-3), and Vergara had a pin in 1:11.
 
Although they ultimately fell, #19 Kelsey Bilz put up a valiant effort against #6 Jasmine Godinez (12-6), #19 Jacqueline Ghent barely lost to #12 Olivia Mottley 6-4, #3 Emma Walker had a close decision with #5 Jamilah McBryde (12-7), and Sierra Chavez nearly knocked off #7 Catherine Palmieri in a tight 3-0 decision.
 
Campbellsville will next be at the Robert Horton Open in Franklin Springs, Georgia on Sunday January 22nd.
