MARION, IN – Campbellsville went up to Marion, Indiana, for a bout against Indiana Wesleyan over the weekend with less than three weeks to go until the Mid-South Conference Championships.
In the 200-yard medley relay,
Hannah Rhodenbaugh,
Chloe Little,
Maggie Gibson, and
Sarah Wortham finished in the runner-up position with a time split of 2:02.73.
Taryn Harper finished sixth overall in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.01. Rhodenbaugh followed suit with a sixth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.65. Little,
Leah Zimmerman, and
Lucy Ballard all finished 4-6 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Little was fourth in 1:16.18, Zimmerman finished fifth in 1:22.80, and Ballard was sixth overall in 1:27.22.
Ballard picked up a seventh-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. She touched the wall in 30.60.
Ellie Eisses swam her way into a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. Eisses finished only four seconds behind sixth in 2:26.93.
Ballard narrowly missed a top-three performance in the 200-yard breaststroke. She touched the wall in 3:08.62. Harper and Rhodenbaugh finished back-to-back places in the 500-yard freestyle. Harper came in fourth in 5:55.89, while Rhodenbaugh was fifth in 5:59.94.
Gibson and Wortham both brought back sixth-place finishes. Gibson in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:05.31, while Wortham finished in 2:29.27 in the 200-yard IM.
Campbellsville finished out their day in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Charlotte Stull, Rhodenbaugh, Harper, and Eisses finished in third in 4:05.33.
The team will travel to Lindsey Wilson College on Saturday, January 21st, for the final meet before the Mid-South Conference Championships in February.
