FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #8 Lady Tigers participated in the Indiana Tech Warrior Open over the weekend. #4 Kenya Sloan came away as her weight class' champion, #4 Angie Vitiritti finished second in 130 lbs., and both Jacqueline Ghent and Lizbeth Banderas-Rodriguez were third in their brackets.
 
Sloan had to best two ranked wrestlers #7 Anastasia Hardin and #17 Grace Doering in her bouts capture the championship. Vitiritti wrestled her way past #16 Charmayne Delong to reach the finals where she lost to #5 Sarah Savidge in a 1:52 pinfall. Ghent had to defeat teammate Anna Rusth to take third place, which she did in a 4-1 decision. Banderas-Rodriguez was in a similar position but was granted third when Taylor Howell had to bow out of their match-up due to injury.
 
The Lady Tigers will next be at home when they host the Campbellsville University Duals on Friday, February 3^rd.
