WILMORE, KY – The Tigers took care of business Saturday evening, taking down Asbury University in the NCCAA Mid-East Regional 2-0.
Early in the match,
Marc Boye had the game-winning goal for the Tigers in the 17th minute. Boye had a shot that went lower right corner to give the team an early advantage.
Campbellsville's second goal game late in the first half from
Fabio Barbosa in the lower left corner of the net.
The Tigers beat Asbury in every statistical category on the board. They outshot the Eagles 14-10, 4-2 in shots on goal, and 7-2 advantage in corners.
Adam Preston's squad will look to return to the championship game after winning the NCCAA Championship in 2021.
The official pools will be released later next week. Matches are set to begin Monday, November 27th, in Kissimmee, Florida.
