KISSIMMEE, FLA. – Campbellsville finished off NCCAA Pool play Wednesday afternoon with a 0-0 draw against Roberts Wesleyan and moved onto the semifinals.
Adam Preston's squad remains undefeated through pool play finishing with a record of 1-0-1 and four points in the pool.
The Tigers had the ball in Red Hawks third of the field for most of the first half of play. Campbellsville was able to outshoot the Red Hawks 10-5 in the first 45 minutes of play.
Felix Baubeng led the Tigers with eight shots and two shots on frame.
Mihlali Blesi created chances up the left wing for Campbellsville throughout the course of the first half.
In the second 45 minutes of play, the team created more chances running up the left and right wings.
Tomas Rosa gave Campbellsville crosses from the right wing that gave the Tigers chances in the box throughout most of the second half.
Statistically, Campbellsville had the upper hand. The Tigers outshot the Redhawks 21-6, 5-2 in shots on frame, and a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks.
The Tigers earned the at-large bid for the semifinals due to the number of points they earned in pool play, with four total.
Campbellsville's will now see Roberts Wesleyan again on Friday, December 1st at 2:30 p.m. in the semifinal round. The Tigers earned the third seed overall while Roberts Wesleyan earned the two seed.
