MCKENZIE, TN – Campbellsville fell in the Mid-South Conference Opening Round to #11 Bethel University 3-1 Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers previously had a 0-0 draw against the Wildcats back on October 20th during the regular season.
Pablo Garcia was the aggressor for Campbellsville on the offensive side of the ball, with three shots and one on frame during the match.
The Bethel defense was able to prevent Campbellsville from having many shots in the first half with only two.
Adam Preston's squad pressed in the second half with eight shots. Six of the ten shots were on frame.
The Wildcats had all three of their goals come in the first 35 minutes of the match.
Mihlali Blesi was the lone goal scorer for the Tigers. His goal came in the final minute of the match.
Christian Hauge managed to have 12 saves on his afternoon. He was nearly even on the day, with seven saves coming in the first half and five saves in the second half.
Campbellsville will now look to a national championship birth as the Mid-South Conference continues next week.
