WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lady Tigers traveled to Williamsburg, Kentucky, to compete at the University of Cumberland Patriot Duals. On day one, Campbellsville was dominant. After receiving a round-one bye, Campbellsville defeated Liberty 48-1, Montreat 48-1, Sienna Heights 40-8, and Brewton Parker 47-1. On day two, the Lady Tigers took on Life University, winning three of their ten matchups. After falling to Life 27-17, the team bounced back to win their final dual of the weekend over Emmanuel, 23-23. The Lady Tigers won over Emmanuel based on criteria.
At 101 lbs., Riley Banyas picked up three forfeits for the Lady Tigers. Banyas earned two falls over Lynnlie Rountree of Emmanuel and Elora Waterman of Brewton Parker but lost by technical fall to Life's Devyn Gomez.
Competing at 109 lbs., Gabrielle Medeiros picked up two forfeits and a pin over Jaelynn Sunseri of Brewton Parker. Medeiros lost by technical fall to Diana Gonzalez of Life and by decision to Giavanna Ablonsky of Emmanuel.
Icart Galumette picked up two forfeits, three technical falls, and a pin at 116 lbs. One of her technical falls was over Life's Ariana Martinez. Galumette had a record of 5-1 on the weekend, losing to Karissa Turnwall of Emmanuel.
At 123 lbs., Josie Davis had an impressive performance. Davis was undefeated on the weekend, picking up two forfeits, three quick falls, and a technical fall.
Cameron Ortiz picked up one forfeit and four falls in 130 lbs. Besides losing to Life's Olivia Mottley, Ortiz had a dominant weekend.
Competing at 136 lbs., Gabriella Perez earned two quick pins, a tech fall, and a 9-1 decision win over Jorie Richardson of Brewton Parker on day one. On day two, Perez lost 12-6 to Zaynah McBryde of Life but finished the day strong with a 6-3 win over Gianna Anaya of Emmanuel.
Emma Walker earned two forfeits and two pins in under a minute at 143 lbs. On the second day, Walker was all business, pinning Shani Tyson of Life University in 57 seconds and Sofia Vergara of Emmanuel in just 40 seconds. Walker finished undefeated on the weekend, spending just over three minutes in total on the mat.
At 155 lbs. and 170 lbs., Kendra Thompson and Sierra Chavez bounced between the two weight classes. Thompson picked up a forfeit and a technical fall. Chavez picked up a forfeit and three technical falls on day one but lost to Margaret Graham of Life and Shelsy Renous of Emmanuel on day two.
Competing at 191 lbs., Lexiana Garcia picked up two forfeits, a fall over Hannah Fisher of Liberty, and a technical fall over Lacie-Lee Parris of Montreat on day one. On day two, Garcia lost in both duals versus Life and Emmanuel.
