Lady Tigers eke out 24-22 win over #4 Patriots

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The #8 Lady Tigers hosted #4 Cumberlands Friday evening and Campbellsville won the team dual, 24-22.
 
To begin the head-to-head, the Patriots' #11 Angelina Casteneda won via technical fall and, following that, Elizabeth Dosado (#4 in 101 lbs.) picked up a 10-5 decision. Jacqueline Ghent responded as the first Lady Tiger to pick up a win on the night with a pin in just 49 seconds. Following that up, #4 Angela Vitiritti bested her opponent in a 1:22 pinfall and #15 Taylor Howell matched her with a subsequent 1:54 pin of her own. #5 Emma Walker made it three-in-a-row with her 34 second pin.
 
Cumberlands' #15 Ariana Pereira defeated #10 Kendra Thompson and #8 Chamira Cooper bested #4 Liliana Vergara with a 9-4 decision. In an extra bout, Anna Rusth was able to pin her foe in 1:05.
 
Campbellsville will return to Hord Family Wrestling facility next Friday February 10th to face #10 Indiana Tech. That dual will begin at 5 p.m. ET.
