KINGSPORT, TN – Going into the final day of competition, the Tigers remain in third place at the Mid-South Conference Championships.
Campbellsville earned their second bronze medal of the meet in the 200-yard medley relay.
Llewellyn Crewe-Brown,
Bosco Barrero,
Sebastian Escobar, and
Luis Castro earned 32 points for the team with a time of 1:39.25.
Barrero picked up 11 more points in the 400-yard IM, placing 8th in 4:39.67.
Jude White was in the consolation finals of the 400 IM, placing 10th in 4:42.39.
Campbellsville earned 11 total points out of the 100-yard butterfly.
Triston Edmonds placed 12th in 56.18, Will Luciano was 13th in 56.50, and
Grant Luckett rounded out the trio in 57.66.
Escobar earned his fourth medal of the meet in the 200-yard freestyle. He placed 3rd in the event and finished in 1:40.16.
Benjamin Burnison was 9th and led the consolation finals in 1:50.80, and
Alexander Burnison was 12th in 1:57.63.
Barrero and
Logan Pisula picked up 14 points in the 100-yard breaststroke. Barrero placed 9th in 1:00.69, and Pisula was 12th in 1:05.81. Crewe-Brown earned the final individual points of the day in the 100-yard backstroke. He placed 11th in 55.11.
The day's final event saw the Tigers pick up another bronze medal. In the 800-yard freestyle, Castro, Crewe-Brown, B. Burnison, and Escobar were in solo 3rd in 7:11.25.
Campbellsville wraps up the Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday, February 4th.
