CAMPELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville Tigers' kick off was a little delayed against the Alice Lloyd Eagles Wednesday night. After the heat pushed the start back 30 minutes, the Tigers did some pushing of their own as they consistently had their offense moving toward the Eagles' goal, winning 16-0.
Campbellsville's offense and pressure was unrelenting from the get-go. In the first 45 minutes, 36 shots were taken with 21 of those on target. That included a hat trick in the half from freshman
Zeezo Cassim.
The second half was a similar story with many Tigers getting playing time.
Ollie Jagroop earned himself a hat trick too, while
Felix Baubeng, Nicolo Linari, and
Malte Ekman both logged braces. A total of eight Tigers recorded goals in the match as Campbellsville won 16-0. Mihali Blesi led the team with two assists.
16 goals are the second-most scored by the Tigers since their inception. The record is their 17-0 victory over the Pikeville Bears back on October 14th, 2006.
The Tigers will face off against the Bears of Shawnee State for their next game. That match will be Saturday, August 26
th at 5 p.m. ET.
