CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University Bass Fishing Team was ranked 6th in the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) Annual Pre-Season Poll for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year. The Tigers reached their highest-ever end-of-season ranking at the end of their 2022-23 campaign where they were ranked 7th overall.
Morgan Miracle and Jacob Thornbury finished the 2022-23 season in third place in the top two-person teams. They had 908 points and 95 pounds and three ounces in total weight, just 29 points behind the first place team.
"Our long goal, obviously, is to win School of the Year! We're ready for the challenge of that pursuit but we also know how tough the competition is," said Head Coach Tony Miracle. "We're ready to compete and I have all the confidence in Campbellsville Bass Fishing for 2023-24."
In the most recent School of the Year poll, the Tigers were ranked 14th out of hundreds of schools around the nation.
The Tigers will start their 2023-24 season on September 23rd and 24th in Paris, Tennessee for the Big Bass Bash - Kentucky Lake.
