SYLVANIA, Ohio. – The Campbellsville University #9 Lady Tigers traveled to RV Lourdes University on Thursday Night. The Lady Tigers ended victorious over Lourdes, winning their first dual in the Mid-South Conference campaign, 38-8.
Lourdes took the match's first team points, with Shanna Morris winning by decision over Riley Banyas at 101 lbs., 8-5. At 123 lbs., Josie Davis won by technical fall in just over a minute over Maria Hoffman. Olivia Messerly pinned Desiree Vazques in 20 seconds at 130 lbs. At 136 lbs., Gaby Perez won by technical fall over Phylicia Sudario. Emma Walker, at 136 lbs., won over Alleana Brown by technical fall in under two minutes.
Lourdes didn't score again until the final match of the night. At 191 lbs., Alysse Phillips pinned Lexiana Garcia in the first period.
The Lady Tigers earned 20 team points off forfeits: Gabrielle Medeiros at 109 lbs., Icart Galumette at 116 lbs., Kendra Thompson at 155 lbs., and Sierra Chavez at 170 lbs.
Campbellsville will be back in action Friday, January 26th, in Fort Wayne, Indiana at 2 p.m. ET.
