SMYRNA, Tenn. – The Campbellsville Men's and Women's Bowling Teams competed in two tournaments over the weekend. On Saturday, the Tigers competed at the Mid-South Conference Greater Nashville Open, and on Sunday, competed at the Mid-South Conference Brandon Burns Memorial.
For the men's team on Saturday, Ambrose Shirk led the Tigers to a third-place team finish. Shirk's four-game score of 933 (213, 266, 208, 246) landed an individual fourth-place finish. The next Tiger, Andrew Swift, had a four-game score of 783 (182, 206, 189, 206), placing 41st. Following just one spot behind, Codie Tempe collected a four-game score of 780 (233, 204, 161, 182). Chandler Taylor was the final Tiger with a four-game score, earning a score of 735 (191, 194, 177, 173). Kadyn Hargis and Ayden Sprowles did not compete in all four games. Hargis had a three-game score of 665 (250, 209, 206), and Sprowles had a one-game score of 147.
On the women's side for Saturday, Autumn Anderson had a four-game score of 505 (174, 102, 115,114). The Tigers had three other competitors with four-game scores: Katilyn Swkwarok had 488 (126, 114, 111, 137), Aliyah Flatt had 407 (97, 99, 113, 98), and April Bowles had 300 (64, 78, 71, 87).
For the men on Sunday, Taylor led the way with a 17th-place finish, with Shirk one spot behind in 18th. Taylor had a four-game score of 870 (254, 226, 177, 213) and Shirk had a four-game score of 858 (218, 237, 168, 235). Tempe collected a four-game score of 840 (179, 179, 266, 216) and Swift earned a four-game score of 817 (223, 225, 214, 155). James Riggs, Hargis, and Sprowles did not compete in all four games. Riggs had a one-game score of 176, Sprowles with a one-game score of 175, and Hargis had a two-game score of 281 (153, 128). The Tigers landed a fifth-place team finish.
On the women's side for Sunday, Anderson had a four-game score of 590 (160, 119, 168, 143). Swkwarok had a four-game score of 488 (140, 121, 98, 129). Flatt collected a four-game score of 421 (100, 112, 99, 110) and Bowles earned a four-game score of 340 (96, 87, 79, 78).
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, November 9th, to compete in the Roto Grip Raider Classic in Beavercreek, Ohio.
