Crewe-Brown takes 200-yard breaststroke title at Indiana Wesleyan over the weekend

MARION, IN – Campbellsville was back in the water over the weekend at Indiana Wesleyan.
 
Marlien Crewe-Brown took her first solo win of the season in the 200-yard breaststroke with a winning time of 2:32.91. She earned the bronze in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.85. Both of Crewe-Brown's times earned NAIA Provisional Cuts. 
 
The Tigers placed 4th overall in both of their relays on the afternoon. In the 200-yard medley relay Ellie Eisses, Victória Lanza, Taryn Harper, and Crewe-Brown were able to touch the wall in 1:58.03. For the 200-yard freestyle relay Crewe-Brown, Eisses, Harper, and Lanza finished in 1:50.35.
 
In the long distance events, Clara Björkegren finished 5th in both the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle on Saturday. In the 1000-yard she swam a time of 12:20.76 and in the 500-yard she finished in 5:50.50. 
 
Lanza earned the bronze medal in the 200-yard butterfly in a NAIA Provisional Cut time of 2:18.59, while placing 4th in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:03.04. 
 
The Tigers will now have the weekend off before hosting their home opener on Friday, October 18th against Centre College. That meet is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.
