Lee goes for 31 in win over Reinhardt at The Show

KINGSPORT, Tenn. — The #3 Lady Tigers took to the court after a 20-day break to do battle with the Reinhardt Eagles at the tenth annual The Show. Lauren Lee, for the second time on the year, set a new career-high with 31 points in Campbellsville's win, 84-60.

Per Visit Kingsport, "The Show is a three-day event that takes place from November 29 through December 1 at MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center. This year's event will bring more than 600 athletes to the region. 22 men's teams and eight women's teams from 12 states will play a total of 30 games. All participating teams are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA)."

The Lady Tigers netted six points before the Eagles tallied a basket and they saw a ten-point lead at 13-3. Dea Bradley's free throws made her the fifth Lady Tiger to score in the first quarter. Paige Serafini nailed her second three-pointer of the quarter at the buzzer as Campbellsville led 23-10.

Lee got her 12th point in just nine minutes of play partly through the second period. The Lady Tigers' hot shooting got even hotter, connecting on 71% of their tries for the quarter with five minutes remaining until the halftime horn. It wasn't just their offense though, as Campbellsville held Reinhardt to an 0-8 stretch from the field. The Lady Tigers' shooting cooled down a bit before the half, but even then it still sat at 50% for the contest. Despite being down by as many as 19, the Eagles cut it to ten for the final twenty minutes, 38-26.

Campbellsville rattled off an impressive eight-pass offensive sequence to kickstart the first minutes of the second half. The Lady Tigers were scoring on every spot of the floor, namely the free-throw line and the paint. Outside of Serafini's three-balls, Campbellsville hadn't connected on any more threes, only shooting six total. The Lady Tigers found their largest lead at 20 points before the Eagles cut into it by three by the break, 61-44.

The momentum sustained through the fourth and final period. Lee kept up her aggression, heading to the line and converting at an efficient clip, growing her point total to 31. Tyra Flowers had the second-most points with her 14 while Talynne Shearer, off the bench, got her career-high with 13 points. The Lady Tigers emerged from their first game at The Show 5-0 on the year, 84-60.

Campbellsville will play their final contest at The Show on Saturday, November 30th at 7 p.m. ET against Faulkner University.
