BARBOURVILLE, KY –
Victória Lanza led the way for the Tigers over the weekend with her school-record performance in the 200-yard butterfly.
Lanza earned the bronze medal in the event with a new school record time of 2:15.08. Campbellsville had multiple other podium finishes throughout the day.
Marlien Crewe-Brown was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.11. She earned her second runner-up finish in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:32.80.
The Tigers were runners-up in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:00.17 with
Ellie Eisses, Crewe-Brown, Lanza, and
Taryn Harper on the team.
Clara Björkegren placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:50.33.
Campbellsville had four different fourth place finishes on Saturday.
Sofia Tricoli was fourth in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:27.91, Bjorkegren placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:42.70, in the 100-yard butterfly, Lanza was fourth in 1:01.96.
The final fourth-place event for Campbellsville was the 200-yard medley relay. Eisses, Lanza, Crewe-Brown, and Harper swam the event in 1:48.08.
The Tigers will return to the water on Friday, November 8th in the Powell Athletic Center at 5:30 p.m. ET for a dual against Midway University.
