KISSIMMEE, Fl.- The #2 Tigers took the road to battle the #8 Geneva College Golden Tornadoes for the first game in the Pool B of the NCCAA Division I Championship. With nearly double the shots throughout the match-up, Campbellsville took the victory, 3-2.
The Tigers were first on the scoreboard, with Gustav Oskarsson scoring the first goal of the game at the 29-minute mark. Oskarsson only strengthened his gameplay, assisting Nicolo Lanari in collecting another goal for Campbellsville. The Golden Tornadoes attempted to retaliate, but Malte Schou saved their shots at the score, closing the first half with the Tigers leading the contest, 2-0.
Halfway through the second half, Diego Chainho scored Campbellsville's third goal of the night, assisted by Ollie Jagroop. Geneva collected shot after shot, but Schou's saves and the Tigers' defense prevented them from scoring. The Golden Tornadoes made it to the scoreboard with less than 15 minutes left on the clock, scoring two goals and coming close to catching up with Campbellsville. However, the Tigers persevered and closed the game with a staggering victory, 3-2.
The Tigers will be back in action, battling the #5 Trinity Christian College Trolls for the third game in Pool B to qualify for the Semifinals of the NCCAA Division I Championship on Wednesday, December 4th, beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

- Campbellsville surpassed Geneva in a couple of statistical aspects of the match, most significantly: shots (16-9) and shots on goal (8-7).
- Oskarsson led the Tigers with five shots and three shots on goal, followed by Jarred Hendricks with three shots, and Lanari with two shots and two shots on goal. Schou collected five saves throughout tonight's game.
- Tonight's match was Campbellsville's first game against Geneva College.
