CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- The Tigers hosted the Alice Lloyd College Eagles for their second game of the season. Campbellsville's unyielding offense throughout the game resulted in a shutout victory against Alice Lloyd, 17-0.
In the first ten minutes of the game, the Tigers held a 3-0 advantage over the Eagles with three goals by Jarred Hendricks, Makwe Nkoana, and Ollie Jagroop. Campbellsville's momentum only strengthened as Malte Ekman, Jagroop, and Harry Freeman each collected another goal in the Tigers' favor. With only ten minutes left in the first half, Diego Chainho scored Campbellsville's eighth goal of the night.
The Tigers began the second half amplifying their lead with goals by Malte Ekman and Tom Schütte. Campbellsville's relentless offense did not cease to expand their lead, racking up goal after goal assisted by Antonio Quinta, Tiago Aspecada, and Nicolo Lanari. Malte Schou's saves limited Alice Lloyd's scoring attempts, preventing them from reaching the scoreboard. Jagroop, Fabio Barbosa, and Lanari continued to score fierce goals as the end of the game approached.
The Tigers will be back in action Friday, October 30th, traveling to Oakland City, Indiana, to battle the Oakland City University Mighty Oaks beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
