CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- The Tigers hosted the Columbia International University Rams on Monday afternoon. After an arduous 90 minutes of play, the game closed in a 1-1 tie.
The Rams were first on the scoreboard, as they made it past the Tigers' defense to score the first goal of the match. Shortly after, Makwe Nkoana retaliated, putting Campbellsville on the scoreboard, and tying the game after 25 minutes of play. The score remained knotted at the end of the first half, 1-1.
Throughout the second half, Malte Schou's control at the goal kept the Rams at bay, including a clutch save late where the Tiger keeper met the Ram at the top of the box and hit the splits to deflect the runaway attempt. Despite both teams' efforts to score the winning goal and a flurry of shots, neither managed to connect.
The Tigers will be back in action hosting the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Cougars on Saturday, September 7th beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
