Action-packed second half ends in 2-2 draw against Cougars

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- The Tigers hosted the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars on Saturday night. Despite Campbellsville's avid offensive attempts with five shots on goal, the game closed in a tie, 2-2.

The Cougars scored the game's first goal halfway through the first half. Within less than ten minutes, Mount Vernon Nazarene scored another goal, increasing the Tigers' deficit on the scoreboard. Ruben Cooper and Jarred Hendricks each attempted a header shot, aiming too high to connect.

In the opening minutes of the second half, Nicolo Lanari scored Campbellsville's first goal of the match. Gustav Oskarsson attempted a header shot from an avid pass by Ollie Jagroop but could not score another goal for the Tigers. At the 74' minute mark, Harry Freeman scored a 32-yard goal assisted by Malte Ekman off the bar.

The Tigers will be back in action, traveling to University Park, Illinois, to battle the Governors State University Jaguars on Tuesday, September 10th, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET.
