KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Campbellsville University Women's Basketball, six days from their season debut, were announced as a top-three team in the nation Wednesday, coming in at third in the NAIA Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office shared.
Campbellsville comes off of a year that saw the team win 28 games and reach the NAIA Championship Tournament Round of 16 for the 12th straight season. The Lady Tigers were the Mid-South Conference Regular Season Champions, collecting three All-Conference performers and the MSC Player of the Year in
Lauren Lee. Notably, Head Coach
Ginger High Colvin reached her 500th career win at the helm during the program's 50th season. She was awarded MSC Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach
Miranda Denney took home the conference's Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
The Lady Tigers see a swath of new talent on the roster with six freshmen joining the squad. For their season preview, Coach Colvin shared, "I am as excited about this freshman class as I have ever been." She continued. "We have a great group of young ladies on and off the court. They are gonna be loved by our fanbase... We have a lot of added size to our roster and that is very exciting for our style of play."
Five Mid-South Conference teams were rated in the release. The team that bested the Lady Tigers in the MSC Tournament in 2025, the Bethel Wildcats, came in a spot above Campbellsville at #2. The Freed-Hardeman Lions landed sixth. Meanwhile, the University of the Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson University were back-to-back at 24th and 25th.
