CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Campbellsville women's swim team delivered a strong showing on Senior Day, highlighted by multiple top finishes and personal bests in their first home meet of the season.
The meet opened with the 200 Medley Relay, where the Tigers' A relay of Natasha Maracci, Marlien Crewe-Brown, Victoria Lanza, and Ellie Eisses finished second in a close race by .24 seconds, touching at 2:10.79. The B relay team, consisting of Sofia Tricoli, Marissa Toms, Charlotte Stull, and Chloe Little, also had a solid showing for Campbellsville.
In the 200 Freestyle, Lanza led the Tigers with a first-place finish, while Clara Bjorkegren and Stull added key points, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. Adison Melton and Melanie Voegeler rounded out a competitive event for Campbellsville.
During the 200 Individual Medley, Toms took third place with a time of 2:46.85, and Little followed close behind in fourth. Evelina Lemon and Reagan Reany also competed hard for the Tigers.
In the 50 Freestyle, Crewe-Brown sprinted to second place, while Ellie Eisses finished third with a personal best of 29.99. Sarah Biveghe and Adriana Castro also represented Campbellsville in the sprint event.
The Tigers continued to show depth in the 100 Butterfly, where Lanza took second place, followed by Maracci in third and Toms in fourth with a personal best. Lemon added another strong swim for Campbellsville.
In the 100 Freestyle, Eisses clocked a personal best of 1:06.90 to place third, with Stull following in fourth.
Bjorkegren led Campbellsville in the 400 Freestyle, finishing second in 5:01.65, just behind the top time. Tricoli added a fifth-place finish with a personal best.
In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the Tigers' relay of Stull, Eisses, Crewe-Brown, and Lanza earned second with a time of 1:59.73.
In the 100 Backstroke, Maracci claimed second with a time of 1:12.64, and Tricoli swam a personal best to place fifth.
One of the standout moments of the evening came in the 100 Breaststroke, where Crewe-Brown captured first place with a personal best of 1:17.12, and Little followed in second to give Campbellsville a 1-2 finish. Reany and Biveghe also contributed to the event.
To close the meet, the Tigers'Â team of Lemon, Melton, Toms, and Bjorkegren took third in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a final time of 4:44.87.
The Campbellsville Tigers will return to compete on Tuesday, October 14th, at Centre College for a double dual meet to take on Centre College and Midway University.
