Tigers close home slate with 3-0 Senior Day victory

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Senior Day, the Tigers celebrated their seniors, Jana Krstić and Madison Farmer, in style, earning a 3-0 sweep over the Bethel University Wildcats to close out the home slate.

In the opening set, Bethel struck first, but Riley Thorne answered with a kill to spark the Tiger offense. A few early hitting errors kept things close until an Elif Akcivi ace gave Campbellsville the lead at 6-5. With the score tied at 11, the Tigers' offense found its rhythm, fueled by kills from Mya Leach, Sophie Hill, and Akcivi to build a 14-11 lead. Angi Gstach added key points late, and the Tigers held firm to take the first set 25–21.

Set two started with Bethel grabbing the first point before senior Jana Krstić responded with a kill. The Wildcats struggled with errors while Sophie Hill powered through with a big slide kill. Campbellsville capitalized on multiple Wildcat errors and, fueled by an Akcivi serving run, fired on all cylinders to close out the set 25–15.

In the third, Riley Thorne and senior Madison Farmer came out hot, stuffing a Bethel attack to set the tone. Both teams traded long rallies, but the Tigers built a 14-18 lead behind an ace from Olivia Hellman. The Wildcats clawed back late, cutting the deficit to 22-24 before a Bethel service error sealed the match. The Tigers completed the sweep, taking the final set 25–22.
