Campbellsville Tigers Story Banner 25-26
  • The Lady Tiger defense was the difference-maker, forcing 31 Reinhardt turnovers, which led to a dominant 30-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
  • Dea Bradley (12 points) and Whitney Hay (11 points) led the offense as the only two Lady Tigers to reach double figures on a tough shooting day.
  • Tyra Flowers was a stat-sheet stuffer, leading the team with eight rebounds, a game-high five assists, and a game-high six steals.
  • Campbellsville won the game with a dominant, lockdown second quarter, outscoring the Eagles 15-3 to turn a five-point lead into a 35-18 halftime advantage.
  • The Lady Tigers established their will on the interior, outscoring Reinhardt 38-12 in points in the paint.
The first quarter was a competitive affair, with Reinhardt's hot three-point shooting keeping them in the game. The Eagles took their last lead at 13-11 before a deep ball from Dea Bradley put the Lady Tigers back in front. A late three-pointer from Lainey Johnson and free throws from Hallie Allen helped Campbellsville close the period with a 20-15 lead.

Campbellsville's defense completely took over the game in the second quarter. The Lady Tigers held Reinhardt scoreless for the first 5:10 of the period, forcing turnover after turnover. The Eagles managed just one field goal in the entire quarter, a layup with 2:28 on the clock. Meanwhile, a three from Allen and layups from Whitney Hay and Ella House fueled a 15-3 run, blowing the game open and sending the Lady Tigers to the locker room with a 35-18 lead.

The Lady Tigers continued to build their lead in the third quarter. Bradley opened the half with a three-pointer, and back-to-back layups from Paige Serafini and Talynne Shearer pushed the lead to 22 points. Tyra Flowers, who was disruptive on defense all game, found Bella Stiles for a layup just before the buzzer to give Campbellsville its largest lead of the game, 50-29.

Reinhardt's offense finally found life in the fourth quarter, outscoring Campbellsville 21-13. However, the deficit built by the Lady Tigers' second-quarter defensive stand was far too large to overcome. Campbellsville weathered the late run and secured the 63-50 victory to remain undefeated.
