MARIETTA, GA – Campbellsville fell to #1 Life University over the weekend, 34-13.
So far this year, the Tigers have met Life in three different matches. The closest match came back on December 6th at the Patriot Duals, where the final score ended at 28-20.
Icart Galumette got the team on the board in her match. She faced Salyna Shotwell, where she fell 12-2 but was able to score a point for the team.
Olivia Messerly pinned her opponent, Olivia Mottley, early in the second period and earned the team five points for the pin.
Liliana Vergara took the top-ranked wrestler at 180 lbs. to the very end, which finished in a decision that came down to criteria 7-7.
Brianna Staebler was the final Tiger key victory for the team. Staebler finished off her opponent early in the first period at the 1:06 mark with a pin.
The Tigers final two matches of the regular season will be at home. On Saturday, February 15th Indiana Tech comes to town for a 4:30 p.m. ET match. The regular season finale will take place on Saturday, February 22nd when the first ever Battle of Highway 55 dual takes place on campus at 6:30 p.m. ET.
