CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Tigers hosted the third annual Campbellsville University Flag Football Frenzy this weekend, inviting the Milligan Buffaloes, the Howard Community College Dragons, the Siena Heights Saints, the William Woods Owls, and the Rockford Regents. After losing their first game Friday, Campbellsville collected three consecutive wins to finish the two-day competition, allowing just 13 total points during the entire event.
GAME ONE: Campbellsville 6, William Woods 7
After a slow first half where neither team could get the upper-hand and multiple drives ended in turnover-on-downs for both, the Owls scored the first touchdown of the game with a pick-six at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Tigers retaliated with a touchdown themselves with less than two minutes left on the clock, with a pass from Korine Talkington to Presley Payne. However, they were unable to score the extra point and the Owls eked out the win.
GAME TWO: Campbellsville 36, Rockford 0
Carley Troutman scored the game's first touchdown with a fade route to the left side of the endzone, getting her two feet before going out of bounds. In just the first quarter, Jaycie Harper had already collected two sacks.
In the second, Payne snagged and hustled a 40-yard passing touchdown from Journey Knowles to paydirt. The very next defensive stand resulted in a punt attempt fumble from the Regents into the end zone, a safety for the Lady Tigers.
Throughout the second half, Talkington scored a rushing touchdown, followed by a pick-six from Timaya Woody to cement Campbellsville's first victory of the frenzy.
GAME THREE: Campbellsville 26, Siena Heights 6
In the first quarter, Angeline Beecher caught the Lady Tigers' initial touchdown, followed by Alex Odom with a 43-yard receiving touchdown, both bringing down their catches from Talkington. The Saints scored their first and only touchdown of the game in the closing minutes of the second quarter.
With only three seconds left in the third, Beecher scored another Campbellsville touchdown when she pulled down an errant deflection by the corner in the end zone.
Harper closed the fourth quarter with a 54-yard house call from a short pass by Knowles.
GAME FOUR: Campbellsville 34, Howard 0
Coming into the weekend's final game, the Lady Tigers' offense and defense stayed hot. Harper stopped Howard on their first set of downs with her tackling skills, starting Campbelsville's drive in an optimal position. That's where Ava Kelly came into the game and secured a ten-yard touchdown. With less than 20 seconds in the first quarter, Harper intercepted a wild Howard ball, which resulted in a touchdown.
Monica Montes intercepted the ball halfway through the third quarter, taking a third statement win for Campbellsville.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Friday, April 4th, when they travel to Siena Heights, Michigan, to battle the Graceland University Yellow Jackets and the Rockford University Regents.

- Campbellsville has played William Woods twice this season, both resulting in losses for the Lady Tigers. This year's Frenzy was Campbellsville's first-ever encounter against Rockford, Siena Heights, and Howard.
- The team's three graduating seniors were honored before the final game: Journey Knowles, Hannah Love, and Presley Payne.
- This year's 3-1 record during the annual frenzy is Campbellsville's best yet, with a 1-5 record during the 2023 frenzy and 2-2 during the 2024 frenzy.
