Win-streak extended to 10 with 3-0 sweep over Mighty Oaks

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY. – On Saturday afternoon, the Tigers successfully defended their home court, securing a hard-earned victory over the Oakland City Mighty Oaks with a decisive 3-set sweep, following an intense match filled with energy and determination from the bench.

The Tigers opened the first set with a kill, setting a statement for the rest of the first frame. Campbellsville took an early advantage and kept ahead of Oakland City. The Tigers' defense was solid, with Mason Mckinney Alonzo Vega preventing the Mighty Oaks from scoring and falling short to the Tigers in the first set, 25-16.

In the second period, Campbellsville had a lead and maintained momentum through solid front-row attacks from Pedro Zavatini and essential sets from Vega. Offensively, the Tigers had a streak of kills and kept a 10-point lead on the scoreboard. By taking advantage of Mighty Oaks'Oaks' errors, the Tigers claimed set two, 25-13.

The game's intensity increased in the third set, with both teams looking to secure the frame. The Tigers and Mighty Oaks found themselves in a back-and-forth battle. Campbellsville's defense and consistent play prevented Oakland City from overtaking a lead throughout the frame, and the Tigers secured the third set, 25-18. Taking the victory from the Mighty Oaks, 3-0.

The Tigers will be back to home action on Tuesday, April 8, as they host the Georgetown College Tigers at 7 p.m. ET in Gosser Gymnasium.
