MARION, IN - Schavon Carr led the way on day two for the Tigers qualifying for the 110m hurdle finals and breaking the school record in the preliminary round.
Carr will go into the finals with the third fastest time out of prelims of 14.13. He was the runner-up in the first heat and has a shot at a national title tomorrow afternoon.
The 4x400m relay team placed 22nd in the prelims with
Chris Thomas,
Zachary Phelps, Matthias Brice, and
Kamarion Ward running a time of 3:17.63.
Tomorrow the Tigers will have three individuals competing for national titles.
Lukas Smithson in the 3,000m steeplechase,
CamRon Hamby in the triple jump, and Carr in 110m hurdles.
- Carr beat out the previous school record by .12 seconds that was held by Ishan Cooper in the 2024 season.Â
