DALTON, Ga.- On Thursday night, the Tigers took the road to battle the (RV) Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies for their season opener game. Despite Campbellsville's efforts to connect at the goal, the Grizzlies took the victory, 2-0.

- Campbellsville surpassed Georgia Gwinnett with 14 shots to their 12; however, the Tigers were unable to collect any goals throughout the match.
- Freshman Izan Garcia led the team with four shots, followed by sophomore Eduardo De Filippis and graduate student Harry Freeman with three shots each.
- Tonight's contest was Campbellsville's second-ever against the Grizzlies, holding a negative record of two straight losses against Georgia Gwinnett.
- The Tigers will be back in action Saturday, August 23, starting at 1:30 p.m. ET for their second match-up down in the Peach State to battle the Dalton State College Roadrunners.
The game opened with a slow start, as neither team managed to complete any scoring attempts. Harry Freeman collected a couple of corner kicks and shots for Campbellsville, unable to rack up any points for the Tigers in the first half. The scoreboard remained at zero at the end of the opening 45 minutes of play.
Georgia Gwinnett came into the second half with the first goal of the game. After a couple more shots, the Grizzlies collected another goal a few minutes later. Izan Garcia, Tobias Etim, and Eduardo De Filippis agilely kicked shot after shot, but Georgia Gwinnett's goalie blocked their attempts at the goal. The Tigers closed the game without any goals, falling to the Grizzlies, 2-0.
