CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville earned its first 2025 Mid-South Conference victory Tuesday night, defeating the Georgetown Tigers in four sets (25-15, 25-10, 24-26, 25-15).

- Brooke Hager had a blistering offensive night, recording a match-high 16 kills on 18 attempts with zero errors for a staggering .889 hitting percentage.
- The Tigers' offense was dominant throughout the match, posting a .411 team hitting percentage.
- Campbellsville controlled the service line, firing 13 aces, including a pivotal 8-0 serving run from Emily Aabye in the second set and a 12-1 run sparked by Claire Hammond in the fourth.
- The offensive attack was balanced, with Emily Aabye (nine kills), Elif Akcivi (eight kills), and Sophie Hill (seven kills) all contributing alongside Hager's big night.
In the opening set, Riley Thorne made her presence known early with a kill, while Maddie Pennington added an ace as Campbellsville carried the momentum to a 25-15 win.
The second set started with a kill from Elif Akcivi, and an ace from Hana Deticek helped spark an early run. Emily Aabye then took over from the service line, delivering two aces during an 8-0 run that pushed the Tigers to a dominant 25-10 win.
Georgetown answered in the third, jumping out to a quick four-point run. Georgetown's scrappy defense kept them in control, and despite Campbellsville tying the set late at 24-24, the visitors scored the final two points to steal the set 26-24 and extend the match.
Determined to close things out, Campbellsville responded with authority in the fourth. Trailing 11-10, the Tigers unleashed a massive 12-1 run sparked by the serving of Claire Hammond, who delivered two clutch aces in the streak. Campbellsville sealed the match with a 25-15 win.
The Tigers will return to action Thursday at 7 p.m. ET against Lindsey Wilson University in the Battle of Highway 55.
