Tiger swimming enters new season with commitment to success

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University men's and women's swimming teams are entering the new season with a few coaching staff changes, but show the same commitment to building success.

The return of long-time head coach Casey Bradstreet has proved influential in building a culture of success, hard work, and determination. When asked about standout returners or notable incoming athletes, Coach Bradstreet stated, "Looking at our returning group of athletes, we have an excellent bunch. Four of our five national qualifiers are returning this year and have been training throughout the summer, and I can see that they are more committed than ever."

Bradstreet continued, "I look forward to getting our incoming class into the space with all our returning group and seeing how the new training groups will work together."

When asked about the upcoming season of changes, new goals, and overall strategy, Bradstreet said, "Our coaching staff has a new new formula going into this season. We have two returning graduate assistants, but their roles have greatly changed from last year. We are adding one student assistant who will join our coaching strategy."

Bradstreet touched on the departure of the previous assistant coach, Lizandri Crewe-Brown, and how that will impact the program. "Losing our full-time assistant is going to have a huge impact on how we function, but I am hopeful that we will find our new rhythm quickly when our schedule really gets going for the season."

Bradstreet said, "I am hopeful that each staff member's insight and perspective will take our training and team development to the next level."

Lastly, Coach Bradstreet concluded, "Every year it seems that God has something new to teach me and a whole host of new experiences for the team. Starting my 15th year feels like a dream. I am grateful for the opportunity to know so many lovely athletes and am intentionally seeking God's direction for our program and for the care and growth of our family culture. This year, our family will represent 16 countries. The diversity makes this space so interesting and special. I love learning about the similarities that connect us and the differences that make us each unique."

The Tiger swimming program will kick off their season this weekend in Columbia, Kentucky, at the Fall Frenzy at Lindsey Wilson University.
