BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference unveiled its 2025-26 women's basketball end-of-season awards on Thursday, and the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers were well represented. Senior forward
Tyra Flowers was crowned the MSC Defensive Player of the Year and earned Second-Team All-MSC honors, while senior
Whitney Hay and sophomore
Dea Bradley were selected to the All-MSC First Team.
Flowers was an absolute nightmare for opposing offenses all season long. Serving as the undisputed anchor of the Lady Tigers' defense, she racked up a staggering 83 steals and 17 blocks across 27 games. Her ability to jump passing lanes and contest shots was matched only by her relentless effort on the glass; Flowers led the team with 197 total rebounds, including 95 offensive boards that consistently created second-chance opportunities for Campbellsville.
Her Defensive Player of the Year recognition comes as no surprise, as she earned the MSC Defensive Player of the Week honor three times over the course of the season. She also captured the attention of the national office in November when she was named the NAIA Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. During that incredible three-game stretch, Flowers averaged 9.7 rebounds and 4.7 steals, highlighted by a 12-rebound, four-steal performance in a rout of Webber International (Fla.) and a gritty six-steal outing against Reinhardt (Ga.). In addition to her defensive prowess, Flowers was named to the All-MSC Second Team after contributing 186 points and 66 assists on the offensive end this season.
The MSC also recognized Campbellsville's elite scoring duo, voting both Hay and Bradley to the All-MSC First Team.
Hay has been the engine of the Lady Tigers' high-octane offense. The forward started all 28 regular-season games and led the team with 510 points, averaging an exceptional 18.2 points per contest. She was incredibly efficient from the floor, shooting 52.7 percent on the year and knocking down 79.0 percent of her attempts from the charity stripe. Hay also proved to be a versatile two-way player, pulling down 124 rebounds, dishing out 60 assists, and swiping 51 steals.
Bradley provided a lethal secondary scoring punch and consistent playmaking in the backcourt. The sophomore guard amassed 388 points during the regular season, shooting 45.0 percent from the field and draining 35 three-pointers. Bradley also demonstrated a knack for drawing contact and capitalizing at the line, converting 83 free throws. Beyond her scoring, she orchestrated the offense with 65 assists and contributed 45 steals on the defensive perimeter.
The #4-seeded Lady Tigers (22-6, 7-5 MSC) will look to carry the momentum of these individual accolades into the postseason when they tip off against the #5-seeded Georgetown Tigers in the MSC Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday, February 27, at the Bowling Green Arena.
