  • The Tigers took advantage of their aggressive defensive pressure, scoring 16 points off 12 Blue Raider turnovers.
  • Campbellsville was locked in at the line when it mattered most, finishing the game shooting 83.3% (25-of-30) as a team.
  • The hard-earned win over the Blue Raiders advances the Campbellsville Tigers to the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, which will be held at Bowling Green Arena on Sunday, March 1, at 6 p.m. ET against the Lions of Freed-Hardeman University.
The game started with an immediate charge from the Tigers. After stopping the Blue Raiders' opening possession with a defensive rebound by Jay Milburn, Campbellsville pushed the pace in transition. This led to an immediate drive in the paint by Marcellus Vail, who finished at the rim to score the first points of the game. From that moment on, the Tigers showcased their primary offensive threat, Dalton Kramer, whom the Blue Raiders were unable to contain. Campbellsville remained in full control on both ends of the floor, holding the lead steadily throughout the entire first half and entering the locker room with a 44-35 advantage.

Entering the second half, the Tigers' urgency continued to build as they maintained their double-digit advantage, with several players attacking and scoring in the paint. However, the Blue Raiders' efforts grew as they fought back offensively to take a lead over the Tigers for the first time. Near the 11-minute mark of the period, Lindsey Wilson's Mihail Gavazov connected on a three-pointer to give the Blue Raiders a narrow 54-53 advantage. Moments later, Gavazov extended their largest lead of the game to three points, 56-53, with 10:06 remaining.

However, the Tigers' fight did not let up. Campbellsville clinched the lead back shortly after, with Milburn converting a crucial layup and ensuing free throw to put the Tigers ahead 58-56. Kramer and Vail then teamed up on the offensive end of the floor to systematically dismantle the Lindsey Wilson defense. The Tigers went on to dominate with a speedy and successful offensive attack, ultimately strengthening their lead to a game-high 15 points with just over three minutes remaining.

With the final minutes ticking off the scoreboard, the Blue Raiders attempted to make a final strike, but it was too late as the Tigers guarded their lead and iced the game by shooting 86.4 percent from the free-throw line in the second half. As the final buzzer sounded, the Tigers celebrated a hard-fought 85-76 victory over Lindsey Wilson to advance to the Mid-South Conference Semifinals.
